LCpl Jeffery Adam Bishop Det. 1491
On April 19 2022, as a memorial to LCpl Jeffery Adam Bishop, detachment 1491 applied for charter with the Marine Corps League and was approved on July 1, and accepted officially on September 17, 2022.
LCPL Jeffrey Adam Bishop
Born and raised locally, LCPL Jeffrey Adam Bishop, affectionately known as Adam, joined the Marine Corps shortly after graduating from Dickson High School.
While serving his country in Fallujah, Iraq, in 2007, Adam paid the ultimate sacrifice when his barracks came under attack. He left behind his family, friends, and high school sweetheart after just 6 months of marriage. We honor his memory of steadfast determination and dedication by helping to support our veterans, their families, and the surrounding communities.
